CAPTAIN DREBBIN AND THE THOUSAND NETS

A free short story set in the same world as From a Bronze Dusk.

“So, you came looking for the story of Captain Drebbin. My dear, it is not for the faint of heart, nor for the soft of mind. But then again, you are neither, are you? Yet, I cannot help but wonder why you elected this tale amongst so many others. May it be that you search for similarities between it and yours? Differences? Well, no matter. It is yours to do with as you please.”

Captain Drebbin and the Thousand Nets is the eight-part short story that is released monthly in anticipation of the launch of From a Bronze Dusk on November 11th, this year. The story is set in the same dark fantasy world asĀ From a Bronze Dusk. In it, you follow Yerdan, a pirate in Captain Drebbin’s crew.

I love stories, both long and short. Whereas novels allow for much more detail and subtle character development, short stories challenge the writer to carefully craft each line. No words are wasted and everything matters.

My most recent short story is available for free on the From a Bronze Dusk website.
